Engaging: Megan + Tyler

Megan and Tyler's wedding day is now only a month away and we can't wait to help this gorgeous couple say "I do!" in front of all of their friends and loved ones.  Our lovely couple's style is the perfect combination of classic while staying on trend, and we've got a day that is a mix of fun and elegance in store for them.  

Megan a farmer's daughter, and Tyler a city boy, met in college.  Both share an appreciation for getting a good night's sleep (and maybe a midday nap), so when they first started dating Megan developed adorable detective like tactics to see if Tyler was in town for the weekend when he was busy taking a nap.  Just wait and see how we plan on incorporating elements of the beginning of their love story at their wedding!

What we love most about Megan and Tyler is the deep love that they have for their family and how much they value spending time with them.  They truly are the perfect pair who compliment one another beautifully.  Megan describes Tyler as her sense of calmness when things get crazy and the person who helps bring her out of shell.  Tyler admires her sense of loyalty and they way she's always by his side ready to take on whatever life throws at them.  Together they help one another become the best person they can be and we're thrilled to play a part in helping them go from engaged to married!

Outside the Lines with Exquisite Weddings Magazine

What's black and white and pretty all over? Give up?!  Our Exquisite Weddings Magazine cover shoot!! We haven't stopped pouring though the gorgeous images from Ashley Kelemen and thought we would share a little more of our behind the scenes inspo of what went into this fun day before taking things to print! 

Feeling so honored to have been asked by the Magazine to collaborate on their main feature, we really wanted to create something special for them and their readers that felt elevated yet modern and unlike anything they had done before.   For us, our design usually begins with a concept or some type of golden nugget of inspiration!  That inspiration can come from anywhere and sometimes it can be the smallest of things that can grow into varying levels of interest.  For this shoot in particular we were Inspired by a simple clean grid pattern that would lend itself to all the nitty griddy details and makings for a beautiful editorial spread!  We teamed up with some of our favorite vendors in the industry to help pull our vision together and began by pairing stark, modern black and white contrast with soft romantic elements of spring! The invitation suite was designed by Miss Multee and was the perfect compliment to the overall design with hand lettering and modern calligraphy. Veering from the traditional, we pulled gowns with texture and clean lines from both The Dress Theory and BHLDN as well as accesories from Marrow Fine Jewelry, Trumpet and Horn and Melinda Rose that would play against the custom grid backdrop we had Back Up create for us .  Layered Vintage did her thing and spread flower love over the backdrop and onto the table top and the results were gorgeous!  Stunning hair and make-up was done on our model by KC Witcamp with Hello Birdie Nail Salon accenting her finger nails in none other than a grid pattern, taking our look from head to tips! :) 

  We also asked Hey They Cupcake! to create a showpiece designed around our concept and she offered up the perfect blush geometric inspired cake that incorporated our playful use of lines.    Our unique tabletop pieces were pulled from Hostess Haven's extensive collection, with drinks by Baron.  To keep up with the mix between modern and romantic, we pulled furniture pieces from Adore Folklore that had a little bit of both and designed a lounge area that was just begging to be enjoyed!

Beach Break with Patek Philippe

Here at Amorology we get so excited when we get the chance to help our corporate clients take their events to a whole new level, especially when those clients are Patek Philppe!  Truly such an honor to be called upon to create their big events!  For the opening beach bash we wanted to add a little more fun under our California sun as they welcomed their guests to La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club!  When it came to deciding on décor, we mixed our inspiration from the surf and sand with the vibrant, beach blanket bingo days of Gidget.  Folklore Rentals supplied the vintage styled beach furniture that we used to create little lounges throughout the area that like the waves of the shore, invited guests to mingle and enjoy the views. 

We felt like we caught the perfect wave when we used elements in that iconic California bright yellow hue! From the glassware to table linens, from Hostess Haven and La Tavola Linen, the elements melted so seamlessly into our beachin' vibes.    And what’s a beach without a lifeguard?  We completed our setting with vintage lifeguard stands for our beach babe to sit tall in from Found Rentals and beautifully draped garlands from Oak and the Owl stood guard as they were wrapped around them.  

            Guests ordered specialty drinks from our own take on the Sand Bar complete with surfboards from Affinita and graphics from some of our go to gals at Prim & Pixie.  For a little something special, a surf board shaper came to give a live display of surfboard shaping on the shore!  Badminton and corn hole games were set up in the sand for those who weren’t cozying up by the bonfires to play.  It was surfs up all the way as guests left feeling ready to catch their own waves with surf wax we had custom made in Hawaii.  Images from this fun filled event were captured by Studio Castillero.
