She connected us with a great team of people from our cake designer to our floral specialist. “Lisa and the Amorology team are the best! I was very hesitant to hire a “day of coordinator”, but could not have been happier with my decision to hire Lisa. From the very first phone call all the way till days after the wedding, Lisa was in constant contact with me and available for advice. She helped with things she did not even need to help with contractually and offered recommendations for hair and makeup when I was in a bind. Lisa was always on top of everything. Not only was I extremely satisfied with her suggestions and professionalism, but my vendors were as well. I received multiple compliments from vendors in regards to how organized Lisa was. “If I could give 20 stars, I would. Amorology recently helped me plan my October wedding in San Diego, and they were amazing! I live up in the Bay Area, so I was doing this long distance. At first I thought I could do it all alone, but I changed my mind pretty quickly on that one...
My matron of honor and I met Heather and her team for a free “consultation” - and we both instantly fell in love with her. She has awesome taste and that was easily seen in both her personal style and pics she showed me. It’s a bit Vintage Anthropologie, but she can easily jump into other styles. We worked out a contract, and from then on, my life got a million times easier! (My husband mentioned that I de-stressed a lot at this point)!
The entire planning process was actually really fun, since I knew I didn’t have to deal with the knitty gritty, and Heather and her team are my new best friends. They were so helpful with everything, and didn’t seem to mind that I had a million questions (and sometimes can’t make decisions..). They helped us find the best vendors ever, and made sure that every detail was taken care of. I never realized how much stuff has to be done to really personalize a wedding, but these ladies are truly pro at what they do. They were there hours before the wedding, and hours after, and they were like a team of angels that helped transform a public aquarium into an insanely awesome party room.
Whether you’re planning your wedding where you live or from another city, I can’t stress how important it is to hire a planner (and specifically these ladies!). You may think it’s expensive, but when you realize that they’ll get you discounts on vendors, save you money on stuff you don’t need, and take about a million pounds of stress off your shoulders, they’ll seem like the best purchase ever! ”

We planned our wedding from out of state and she was constantly keeping me informed and up-to-date on all the happenings so I never had to wonder how things were going. She took all my advice and inspiration into consideration and then ran with the idea to make it even more incredible than I could have imagined. She is the BEST wedding planner in San Diego by far. Her connections to all the right vendors, caterers, etc. are phenomenal. I had everything I could ever want! Even when we had an issue with our photographer, Heather stepped in and fixed the problem. “My wedding coordinator Heather Balliet...oh, where to start! I love her, she gave me a perfect wedding. It was intimate and personal, and completely reflected my personality and style (which can be random). She listened to my ideas and expanded on them and pulled them together in a way that I never could have (I am as scattered as the four winds)! I was stressed with only 6 weeks to plan a wedding, and she calmly (a very important trait in wedding planner I must say!) took care of everything in stride and without a hitch. She is so personable and fun, I felt comfortable with her right away... which really helps make the whole experience an enjoyable process. Her whole crew was amazing! From her mom’s beautiful flowers, the DJ’ing from the tree house, and Heather’s flawless execution of the whole event, they all have impeccable taste and standards... “This past summer our daughter, Linley, got engaged! I knew exactly where to begin my planning for the wedding! I immediately called Heather Balliet, of Amorology, to see if she was available! Thankfully the date was open and we were on our way!
Heather has not only a talent for creativity and design but she has great organizational skills as well! I really appreciate her attention to detail! In our first conversation we told her briefly what colors we were thinking of and what the bridesmaids’ dresses were like… and she was off! In our first meeting she came prepared with color samples, design possibilities, flowers, vendor suggestions for everything needed at the event! (By the way, we used every vendor she suggested! I knew they were the “tried and true” for Heather.) She was able to give me a “visual” through her preparation in that first meeting and got me even more excited!
Probably the most important reason I hired Heather is because I knew I could trust her to follow through and implement everything we talked about without me “stressing out!” That’s how much confidence I had in Heather! I knew Heather would do the “worrying” for me! I’m a person who likes control so for me to be able to do that tells you a lot about Heather!
From the chosen venue, to the table settings, flowers, caterer, photographer, dj, lighting, to the ambience for the whole evening, the evening for us went “perfect!” I don’t think you can say that about too many events or occasions. I myself wasn’t even expecting that! But that’s exactly what we got!
I would highly recommend Heather to anyone, anytime, anywhere, without blinking an eye! I even received thank you notes from people attending our daughter’s reception thanking us for one of the most beautiful and fun nights they’ve ever had! That evening for us even exceeded our own expectations! In fact I still run into people complimenting us on such a fabulous evening! I love to look at the pictures to remind us of “our one perfect night!” Heather was our lifesaver! WE LOVE HER!”
