Beach Break with Patek Philippe

Here at Amorology we get so excited when we get the chance to help our corporate clients take their events to a whole new level, especially when those clients are Patek Philppe!  Truly such an honor to be called upon to create their big events!  For the opening beach bash we wanted to add a little more fun under our California sun as they welcomed their guests to La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club!  When it came to deciding on décor, we mixed our inspiration from the surf and sand with the vibrant, beach blanket bingo days of Gidget.  Folklore Rentals supplied the vintage styled beach furniture that we used to create little lounges throughout the area that like the waves of the shore, invited guests to mingle and enjoy the views. 

We felt like we caught the perfect wave when we used elements in that iconic California bright yellow hue! From the glassware to table linens, from Hostess Haven and La Tavola Linen, the elements melted so seamlessly into our beachin' vibes.    And what’s a beach without a lifeguard?  We completed our setting with vintage lifeguard stands for our beach babe to sit tall in from Found Rentals and beautifully draped garlands from Oak and the Owl stood guard as they were wrapped around them.  

            Guests ordered specialty drinks from our own take on the Sand Bar complete with surfboards from Affinita and graphics from some of our go to gals at Prim & Pixie.  For a little something special, a surf board shaper came to give a live display of surfboard shaping on the shore!  Badminton and corn hole games were set up in the sand for those who weren’t cozying up by the bonfires to play.  It was surfs up all the way as guests left feeling ready to catch their own waves with surf wax we had custom made in Hawaii.  Images from this fun filled event were captured by Studio Castillero.

Real Wedding: You Put A Spell On Me

It was love at first sight for our beautiful couple Roxana and Marc. She first laid eyes on him at a show his band was playing, and she thought he was the most handsome guy in the world. Nearly 10 years later, he sang to her on their wedding day! 

The whole design was inspired by the movie Practical Magic, which embodied his earthy vibe & her magical spirit. We created a light and airy atmosphere, with a dash of enchantment and painted the space in neutrals and pastels with blush, amethyst, dusty rose, and charcoal grey. A marble backdrop for ceremony quickly transformed the wall into the perfect sweetheart table background. We topped the tables with ceramic grey plates and stone slab table numbers, with a mix of gold metals and smoky glassware. 

To allude to Roxana's love for all things enchanted with some practical magic, we created a whimsical escort display complete with dry ice and a gold-leafed wooden starburst backdrop. Guests were able to create their own bags of fragrant lavender tub tea and left sweet messages for our couple with a photo and a note. 

The ceiling was adorned with hanging floral installations by Sarah at Catalina Neal and a chandelier swathed with greenery. We created our couples very own geometric dance floor with metallic gold vinyl which made the perfect place to dance the night away! Much like their love, this day was filled with magic, joy, and sweet touches we'll remember forever!

In the Media: New Year, New Features!

Some might say February is the month of love, but with all of our lovely media shares, we sure were feeling it in January!  To keep the good vibes going, we're looking back on a very exciting month that kickstarted what's sure to be another amazing year at team Amorology!  So as we get ready to see what February has to offer, have fun and scroll through the links below as we recap some of our favorite media moments.  First things first, let's get started with a series of features that took place this January on the one and only Style Me Pretty!

Style Me Pretty kicked off our 2016 by sharing this classic summer wedding that took place at the oh so lovely Rancho Valencia resort.  This charming couple promised to give one another the moon and the stars in an absolutely dreamy setting.  And trust us, you're not going to miss the not so little surprise we built to pay homage to how they first met! This next feature on Style Me Pretty gave us another reason to celebrate spring (thanks again Mr. Groundhog!), it's our lovely couple Zareen and Jaxson's colorful celebration at the gorgeous Rancho Las Lomas!  For their special day we played with bright colors, pretty patterns, and our duo's adorable nicknames!  So don't forget take a gander at this lovely feature here!   

We were overjoyed to have Style Me Pretty share Tory and Blake's swoonworthy day captured by the one and only Jose Villa.  Our darling bride not only shared some exquisite captures from the spring al-fresco wedding we dreamed up for her and her handsome husband, but also shared her own recap of the day she and Blake said "I do".  Click here to see more of their dreamy day! 

To say we were excited to see Rachel and Tanner's wedding day up on Style Me Pretty would be quite the understatement!  This couple stole our hearts when they told us the story of how they fell head over heels for one another through love letters and e-mails (all of which they've saved and treasured).  To check out more of their lovely spring wedding, click here!

Last, but certainly not least, on our list of love from Style Me Pretty is the party we threw for one of our favorite little seven year old, that they described as a "Snow White party gone chic"!  We brought a little bit of the enchanted forest to our own backyard for our very own little Miss Milla's special birthday.  More of our own Snow White's party can be seen here - make sure to keep an eye out for her woodland friends (and maybe one mischievous little brother)!
